This video shows how damn fast were those engines. Regular Cup cars had pretty obsolete suspension systems, and worse aerodynamics than a cow. But still, Cup cars shouldn't be underestimated.

На самом деле, это симуляция в АС в iRacing ещё более очевидно, что у Логано нет шансов =) чтобы так ехать как едет тут форд, нужно идеально тормозить и поворачивать, сток кар с 900+ лс перегревает резину в момент в реальности GT привезёт стоккару тут секунд 5, а то и больше.

If the AI wasn't so terrible and the cars were actually taken to their grip limits the GT3 would be even more ahead due to the higher grip and downforce.

Fun fact: these are the exact same engines NASCAR still runs, NASCAR just puts plates on them to limit them to ~670hp. Many team owners as well as Toyota themselves have said that it would be possible to change all the engines back to 900hp by tomorrow if they wanted at no extra cost. A bit of a shame how nascar wont allow that though 😞

Dont know if the F2 car is accurate. If Im not mistaken, Indycar was always faster than F2 about 2 seconds, this years F2 car is about 1 second slower than the old one. So the gap in theory shouldve been bigger. I could be wrong tho and the gap between Indy and F2 mightve been smaller than I remember

Great video but I doubt it would be as simple in reality. Come to think of it, a F1 car with all the necessary modifications made for endurance racing is more or less what a LMH is. There's a reason why these things can last a 24h race at the cost of only 25 seconds per lap compared to a F1. Heck, even this video somewhat proves it with the F1 finishing only a single lap ahead when it terms of pure speed, the beginning of the race showed it was largely capable of outlaping the LMH cars several times in just the first hour.
